On December 2009, Drillmec's president Mr. Claudio Cicognani and Drillmec's Sales Director Mr. Stefano Angeli visited IDC base in Basrah, Iraq, where the 22 rigs supplied by Drillmec are rigged-up.
Together with Drillmec's local partner, Mr. Ali Ghalib, Mr Cicognani and Mr. Angeli were welcomed by IDC's President Mr. Idriss Al Yassiri and other members of IDC's top management (picture).

The purpose of the visit was to assess the on-going activities and assure that all the supplied rigs are being rigged-up and commissioned adequately.
Moreover, the meeting between the two companies was a good opportunity to reinforce the bi-lateral relationship by providing all the necessary support to IDC  and identifying other business opportunities in oilfield drilling in the country.
